Worked with the city engineer to learn roadway design and water and sewer engineering.

MAY  1991- JUNE 1997

EIT - PE City of Gastonia

While working with the city I inspected roadway construction as well as reviewed site plans and subdivision being submitted by consultants.  Later I transitioned into a position overseeing the  local road design projects.  During this time I became certified in Asphalt Inspection as well as OSHA certified for onsite safety.

Within a smaller community I moved to provide a safe place to raise children.  In doing so I was able to assist in design of several projects around the city of washington including Susie Gray Sports Complex, Beaufort County Hospital Expansion, City of Washington Annexation, Created Wetlands along Stewart Parkway along with numerous other projects and subdivisions.

JANUARY 2002- MARCH 2008

Project Engineer and Greenville Office Manager for The Wooten Company

During this time I was given oppurtunity to take lead on several county wide utilty projects including a revitalization of the sewer system through the town of Bethel.  I assisted in design of several phases of the Edgecombe County Water system from design through construction.  I also worked closely with several smaller municipalities to provide basic engineering services which were needed for various aspects of the towns.

MARCH 2008- NOVEMBER 2014

Owner and Engineer for
Pamlico Engineering Services, PLLC

Started working for myself in 2008 by doing work for The Wooten Company and continued helping with existing projects until this fadded out after two years.  By that time I was established with several local developers and builders to begin preparation of site plans and grading plans for various projects.

NOVEMBER 2014 - PRESENT

Inner Banks Engineering, PC

Teaming up with design build firms has given us the oppurtunity to design sites for Family Dollar all through out Eastern NC as well as SC and Va.  We prepare all necessary stormwater permitting, grading plans, erosion control plans as well as zoning compliance.

We also work with local residential building contractor to develop subdiviision plats for new construction.  We have assisted numerous churches in our local area to develop plans for new church sites to renovations on existing sites.
